Positive/Negative Magazine is an award-winning annual publication produced by senior Graphic Design and Photography students at Rochester Institute of Technology. All articles are written and designed with a positive or negative approach to a topic. Volume 8 was constructed around a theme of human consciousness and the push and pull of contrasting experiences, senses, thoughts, feelings, and data.
The front and back cover feature a heat-activated exposure of human interaction and consciousness. The articles in the magazine are bookended by pages that illustrate human connection and the unity found in the contrast of positive and negative.
In addition to co-writing three articles, art directing photoshoots, and designing full page spreads, I was also elected to be one of two Feature Editors of the publication. We curated the flow and organization of the magazine's content according to the theme. The articles were organized by topic as a stream of consciousness, similar to a word association exercise. We wanted the contrasting articles to still feel connected and coherent.
